Katy Heritage Society Releases New Book, “Historic Katy”

The Katy Heritage Society has partnered with Texas-based Historical Publishing Network to release a new coffee table book about Katy area history. Historical Publishing Network asked Carol Adams to author the book based on over 75 magazine articles she has written regarding local and regional history and her work with the Katy Heritage Society.

Pick one up starting today at the MKT Visitors Center (5615 First St. 77493, 281-391-8400), the Wright Museum when the park is open (5990 George Bush Drive, Katy, TX 77493) or the Rice Harvest Festival in the Katy History booth. (The festival is held on the streets of historic downtown Katy between 1st Street and 4th Street and Ave A to Ave D.  The downtown area is located about one mile north of I-10 at Exit # 741.)

$50, Cash or Check donation – made payable the Katy Heritage Society Scholarship Fund. All proceeds will endow the scholarship fund – details and applications will be posted soon.
